About Me

Hi! My name is Ashley Howard. I got into dog training over 16 years ago when I got my first dog and at 11 years old started reading every dog training book I could find. I have professionally trained dogs for the last 3 and a half years through private sessions and various levels of group classes. I have experience working with dogs of every type, size, and temperament.

I currently enjoy working with my two dogs Lucius and P.J. I have also had the honor of fostering several dogs who have all gone on to find great forever homes. While I am not currently taking in fosters I do enjoy volunteering with Oregon Dog Rescue by working with some of their dogs behavior and training needs. Rescue dogs and their rescuers have a special place in my heart. I like to reward their kindness with special discounted rates for rescue dogs.

I have a BA from Hamline University in Spanish and Latin American Studies with a minor in Education. I am two classes away from completing a Master's to teach ESL, but I have decided to put my Master's on hold for the time being. I do believe that my background in the education field has helped me to better teach the humans I work with to train their dogs.

I live in SW Portland with my two canine companions, my wonderful husband and beautiful 10 month old daughter.
